Human Resources
The Department is a stand-alone department arranged around several functions: Employment and Recruiting, Employee Relations, Benefits, Compensation, Safety, Training and Development, Risk Management and Human Resources Records. To effectively manage the Department, Human Resources is currently staffed with 2 employees; a Director of HR & Risk Management, and an HR Generalist Assistant.
The staff presently supports 10 Departments and 161 budgeted positions, as well as interacting with hundreds of job applicants, maintaining compliance with state and Federal regulations, providing professional counsel on issues facing the City and its employees daily. We provide investigation support regarding claims internally and externally regarding behaviors displayed by City Employees.
